Hello, so this Wednesday evening we all wrapped up warm and headed over to Carly's flat for even more festive fun. This time we made Christmas cards which was great fun (especially whilst sipping homemade mulled wine and listening to classic Christmas songs).
Merry Christmas from all of Create Soc- we hope Santa brings you something nice and we'll see you in 2011!

Craft- Week 6
So what did we do today?
We made these gorgeous origami fairy light decorations! Why wait until Christmas to unearth your fairy lights? Show them off all year round, once you've revamped them with these lovely flowers :)

Craft- Week 5
Happy Halloween, we Crafters got well and truly into the spirit of things with our pumpkin carving!
Obviously all the carving left a lot of pumpkin flesh and seeds going spare :( ....
...but in a truly creative spirit Jenny and Carly whipped up some delicious pumpkin soup and also roasted the pumpkin seeds, making some yummy snacks to keep us going.
After all our hard work, we sat back and watched our creations glow! (and then took proud photos of us and our babies!)
We had some great (premade) templates with really intricate details- maybe that explains the intense looks of concentration on our faces!

Craft- Week 4
Hello all,
Tonight's wonderful craft was bunting- which always reminds me of quaint English seaside towns and street parties :) Anyway it's enjoyed a recent revival thanks to designers like Cath Kidson. But understandably we can't all afford such finery! So.... in true Create Soc style, we made our own - another cheap, cheerful way of brightening up your flat!

Today's craft is mobile phone/ iPod covers- making these yourself is a cheap, student-friendly way of keeping your gadgets scratch free, plus they're really easy (and fun!) to make.

Craft- Week 1
Hello!
This Wednesday was the first half of our jewellery making, we started off with plain wooden beads, which we jazzed up by covering in decoupage paper. The end result of this simple yet very effective craft = stunning beads to string onto findings next week.

Craft - Freshers Week
Hey guys! I hope you've all had a lovely, relaxing summer and are settling into the new Uni year okay :)
Today the Crafters had their Freshers event and in case of you guys missed it (how rude!), here's a sneak peek at the stall.
On the cream jewellery stand are samples of beaded necklaces which will come in handy for the first week's craft. Come along next Wednesday 4-6pm to find out more!

The two lovely ladies handing out home baked treats and leaflets were Jenny and Carly- the two coordinators of the Crafting side of Create Soc- and here's a little picture of them just so who know to look out for at Wednesday meetings! (Jenny is on the left and Carly is on the right).
